Chapter 1 - Serena
I tighten the laces on my skates then glide out onto the frozen lake. It feels good to be on ice again. I may not be able to skate professionally anymore, but I still enjoy it.
It’s my first time at this particular lake, and I’m surprised by how many people are here. Although it is a hockey town, so it shouldn’t be surprising. There’s kids flying around on skates with their parents chasing after them, there’s teenagers practicing tricks, and there’s even couples, holding hands and smiling happily as they cut through the ice.
I’m instantly jealous and bitter when I see some guy lean down to kiss the cheek of a bright and bubbly girl who giggles playfully. I advert my gaze and just focus on skating, trying not to think of my ex-boyfriend.
Jeremy and I were together for seven years. Seven years! I was fifteen when we started dating, he’s the only person I’ve ever been with and I gave him everything. Then I got hurt and couldn’t get him off because I was lying in a fucking hospital bed and he decided that meant he could go get it from someone else.
He tried to reason with me, saying that he’s a man and needs a release, and for a while I fucking bought it. Then I found out he was talking to girls on social media so I left. I didn’t even tell him. I hid out at my mom’s for a few days while I contacted my cousin Danielle, and made arrangements to live with her for a bit. She was pretty understanding and seems excited to have a roommate.
It’s only my second day staying with Danielle and I feel like we’ve bonded already. Jeremy has no idea where I am, and my mom promised she wouldn’t tell him, so I’m hoping I can move past it all. My goal now is to find a guy to sleep with so I can experience someone else besides Jeremy.
I’m shaken out of my thoughts when a kid collides into my leg and hits the ice with a thud.
“Oh shit, are you ok?” I ask him, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him up.
“Yeah, sorry,” he says, grinning at me and I notice he’s missing a front tooth.
“What we don’t do is keep our head down and bang into people.” I look up to see a guy skating over to us and shaking his head at the kid. “Did you apologize, Dustin?” He roams his eyes up my body and they widen slightly. “Woah,” he says, running a hand through his hair, “Maybe I’ll just apologize on your behalf.”
I feel my face heat up as he smirks at me and I think he might be the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. He’s tall and muscular, with pretty green eyes and dark blonde hair, and he looks at me like he’s about to pounce on me.
“I already apologized,” Dustin mutters, but the guy just waves him away without taking his eyes off of me.
“Yeah sure, Dustin. Why don’t you go find one of your friends?”
Dustin rolls his eyes and skates away without another word and the guy holds out his hand for me to shake.
I take it a little hesitantly, and find myself wishing I wasn’t wearing gloves so I could feel his skin against mine.
“I’m Liam Parker,” he says, moving a little closer to me.
“Serena Stiles.” My voice comes out all quiet and nervous and I cringe internally. I'm not going to be able to achieve my goal of sleeping with someone if I can’t even talk to guys, so I clear my throat and force myself to stand up straighter.
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. Are you new to town?”
I nod slowly, trying not to stare into his mesmerizing eyes for too long. “Yeah, I just got here yesterday afternoon, actually.”
I’m so consumed by him, I don’t even notice the other two guys skating up to us, until they’re flanking Liam, and I’m staring up at three very hot, and very powerful looking guys.
Holy crap.
I feel like I’m caged in by them even though we’re standing out in the open air in a public place.
“Boys, this is Serena Stiles. She just moved here,” Liam says. He motions to the guy on his left, “Serena, this is Tyler.”
I shake Tyler’s hand, very conscious of the way his eyes roam my body the same way Liam’s did. He’s just as hot as Liam too, with a similar build, but darker features.
Liam points to the other guy, “And that’s Bells.”
I look up at the last guy and my lips part slightly. He’s tall as fuck; towering over me and making me feel very small. And he’s big, like, massive.
“Bellamy,” he grunts, and his deep voice sends a shiver down my spine.
I hold out my hand and he hesitates for a second before shaking it slowly.
“It’s nice to meet you guys. I don’t really know anyone here yet.”
“Are you going to RHU?” Tyler asks, and he sounds kind of eager. All three of them are looking at me like I’m something mouthwatering they want to devour and it’s a little intimidating. I don’t have a whole lot of sexual experience. I’ve had a whole lot of sex, but only with the same person.
“RHU?” I stare at Tyler in confusion and his smile almost stops my heart completely.
“Rocky Harbour University. I figured you might be a student since people don’t usually move here unless it’s for the cheap tuition.”
“Oh.” Right, the university. “No, I’m not yet. Um, I applied, but I was way past the deadline for this semester, so I’m going to start in the fall. I’m living with my cousin though, and she’s a student.”
Tyler opens his mouth to reply but he’s cut off by Bellamy, “Are you a skater?”
I stare up at him and nod, but then shake my head quickly. “Not anymore.”
“What happened?” He asks, and for some reason I feel comfortable telling him.
“I was training for the Olympics and took a pretty bad fall. I ended up with a major concussion and a torn ACL.”
“Shit,” Liam mutters. “That fucking sucks.”
Yeah, it was pretty fucking heartbreaking. Everything I worked my entire life for, ruined because of one little mistake. It happened over a year ago, but I’m still bitter about it.
Bellamy’s eyes narrow, and Tyler puts a hand on my shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze, and I stare at it with wide eyes, then up to his beautiful and chiseled face.
“I’m fine now,” I say, lying through my teeth. I want to change the subject so I give them a bright smile. “Since I don’t really know my way around yet, maybe you guys could show me the town sometime?” I bite my tongue. Shit, I didn’t mean all of them. I want to hook up, but only with one. Which one though? By the way they’re staring at me, I think they’d all say yes. But I don’t think I can choose. All three of them are so fucking hot.
“We’d love to!” Liam smirks, “All of us would be more than happy to show you around.”
I gulp a little nervously, but my thighs clench at the thought of hooking up with three of them at the same time. Maybe it would be fun. And I need a little fun.
“Why don’t you come to our game tonight, and we can take you out after?” Tyler asks, his words distracting me from Liam’s pretty green eyes.
“Game?”
“Yeah, there’s a hockey game tonight at the stadium downtown.”
I feel myself perk up a bit and Liam chuckles, reaching out to tuck a few strands of hair behind my ear. “Does the pretty girl like hockey?”
I feel my face flush with heat. “Yes. My dad played, so I kind of grew up around the game.”
“Professionally?” Tyler asks and I nod. “Wait.” He looks at me excitedly. “Your last name is Stiles?”
I nod again and all three of them exchange a look.
“Is your dad Malcolm Stiles?” Liam asks.
“Yes.” I’d really rather not talk about my dad, I shouldn’t have even brought him up.
“Damn, he was a real good player.” Tyler looks impressed but I think Bellamy notices my lack of enthusiasm because he changes the subject.
“You’ll come to the game tonight?” His deep voice is so soothing I can’t help but agree.
“Yeah, I’ll be there.”
My confirmation seems to make them happy, and Liam leans in closer to me. My eyes dart down to his lips which are mere inches from my own, and my heart starts racing in my chest.
I’ve never been kissed by anyone except Jeremy before and even though I'm dying to let loose and fuck someone random, I’m suddenly very nervous.
“We’ll wait for you after the game and we’ll… show you around town,” Liam says, winking at me, and my breath hitches as he moves even closer, resting a hand on my hip.
“Yeah, we’ll show you back to our place. Straight up to my bedroom,” Tyler says with a laugh and I look past Liam to see him smirking at me, but then Liam grabs me by the jaw, forcing me to stare up at him instead.
“Is that something you’d be interested in, pretty girl?” He asks, and I realize they’re serious. They’d want to have a… What would this even be? A foursome?
“As in just me and all of you?” I ask, wanting to clarify. They’re pretty forward, but it’s kind of exciting.
“Yeah,” Liam says with a shrug. “All of us.”
I feel like he’s being cryptic, like he’s hiding something, but my damp panties and my pounding heart make it difficult to care. I definitely want to experience a night with all three of them.
This could be the perfect way to fully get over Jeremy.
“Um, yes… I’m interested,” I say, a little timidly, and I watch Liam’s pupils dilate before he brushes his lips against mine softly. All it does is leave me wanting more which he obviously intended judging by the smug smirk on his face.
Bellamy and Tyler skate closer and all three of them basically surround me, with one on each side and Liam in front of me. My entire body starts to tingle and I realize I’ve never felt anything so intense. They’re just standing next to me but it feels like I’m going to fucking combust.
“Good,” Liam says, the back of his hand coming up to stroke my cheek. “We’ll see you tonight, pretty girl.”
All three of them lean down at the same time to kiss me; Tyler and Bellamy press their lips to my cheeks and Liam’s claim my own briefly. I feel my legs get weak and grab Bellamy for stability. He’s just so big and sturdy and he chuckles quietly as he holds me up.
He makes sure I’m steady, then they skate away and I’m left blinking rapidly and trying to catch my breath. I stare down at the ice and decide to just go home. There’s no way I’m going to be able to concentrate on anything except the fact that all three of those guys want me. Me! I’ve never felt so desired before. It’s kind of nice.
I change back into my boots and head back to my car, my mind coming up with all kinds of scenarios for what tonight will be like. Three guys at once… I honestly don’t know what to imagine.
It’s probably a bad idea, hooking up with three guys who are all friends and teammates. But I don’t think I can back out now, I think I’m just as excited as I am nervous.
When I get back to Danielle’s apartment, I’m greeted by her white fluffy cat, Lulu, who rubs against my legs and meows softly. I give her a few scratches behind the ears and then find Danielle in the kitchen. She’s sitting at the table with a half eaten sandwich in front of her and scrolling through something on her phone.
“Hey Serena,” she says, looking up and smiling when I come in. “How was your skate?”
“Well, I didn’t really do much skating.” I grab a soda from the fridge and sit across from her. “I met these guys…” I trail off, not sure how to explain what just happened.
“Oh?” She sits up straighter and puts down her phone, looking at me expectantly.
“Do you know anyone on the university hockey team?”
She shakes her head slowly, “No, I don’t really run with that crowd. But there is a pretty big group of girls that hang around them. I’ve heard rumors about the guys on the team calling them puck bunnies.”
“Puck bunnies?”
“Yeah, like, groupies but for hockey players.” Her eyes widen and she quickly swallows a bite of her sandwich, “Wait, the guys you met, are they on the team? How many of them were there?”
“Yeah, they asked me to go to the game tonight and then they want to take me back to their place. There were three of them."
She giggles, “Damn Serena, I know you said you wanted to find someone to sleep with, but I didn’t think you’d find three!”
“Believe me, I didn’t either. But oh my god, Danielle, they’re all so hot.”
She squeals excitedly, and I give her every detail of my interaction with Liam, Tyler, and Bellamy.
A few hours later, I’m showered, have shaved everything, and I’m ready to go. Danielle is coming with me, which I’m grateful for. She said she doesn’t want me to go with them unless I have one of their phone numbers and give it to her, and she wants me to turn on my location. Just in case they’re not actually nice guys and something bad happens.
We get to the stadium, buy our tickets, and I decide to head into the merch store to buy a jersey. I only know Liam’s last name, so I buy the jersey with ‘Parker’ across the back and the number eighty-one. Danielle buys a random one with the name ‘Miller’ on the back and we put them on and go find our seats.
“Thanks for coming with me, Danielle,” I say as we sit down in the front row, right behind the net.
“No problem. I’m rooting for you to get the D… or three D’s, but I still want to make sure you’re safe.”
I press my lips together and she giggles as I blush fiercely.
“I can’t believe I’m going to do this,” I mutter.
“Oh, they’re coming out for the warmup! You need to point out which ones they are,” she says excitedly.
I nod, but then feel myself freeze when I see Bellamy skating towards us. He’s loaded down with all the goalie gear and he stops at the net, his helmet pulled up and his eyes immediately landing on me.
Danielle nudges me, “Is he one of them? The goalie?”
I nod slowly and she lets out a whistle. “Good work, Serena. He’s fine.”
He keeps me locked in his gaze and I feel like I can’t physically look away, until Liam and Tyler skate up next to him, both of them grinning happily at me.
I wave to the three of them, then point to Liam and turn around, showing off my new jersey with his last name on it. When I turn to face him, he’s moved right up to the plexiglass and his green eyes pierce into me.
He curls a finger, coaxing me towards him, and I lean in closer, “You’re wearing my name now, pretty girl. That means you’re mine.”
I feel my eyes widen but I’m filled with an odd warmth at his words. I glance at Tyler and Bellamy who are both watching me silently and I find myself getting really excited for tonight.
Another guy skates up to them, he has a large letter ‘C’ embroidered on the upper left side of his jersey and he’s followed by two other guys. He starts berating Liam and Tyler for not warming up, but then his eyes find me and he snaps his mouth shut.
“Is this her?” I hear him ask, and Liam nods.
All six of them stare at me, their eyes roaming my body hungrily, and I think I might have made a mistake.
