While we at Inkitt have made it our mission to discover new talent and help launch them as successful authors on Galatea, we also recognize that there’s no reason an author on Inkitt shouldn’t start immediately earning money for their hard work.
For that reason, we’ve launched the Inkitt Author Subscription Program, connecting authors with readers who want to support them and their work. Read on to find out more!
What Is the Inkitt Author Subscription Program?
It’s a way for authors to begin earning immediately and for readers to support their favorite authors and receive exclusive perks available only to subscribers.
Writing is work, and work should be rewarded. While we at Inkitt want you to make the leap to Galatea, there’s no reason you can’t earn in the meantime.
The Author Subscription program is separate from opportunities on Galatea and only offered on Inkitt.
Why Should I Join the Inkitt Author Subscription Program?
If you’re a writer, you can monetize your work immediately. There are no restrictions. Just set up your payments and your subscription and go. Unlike Patreon or Ream, Inkitt doesn’t keep any money except for the transaction processing cost. It’s all yours.
If you’re a reader, it allows you to support your favorite writer(s), connect with them on a more personal level, and enjoy subscriber-only perks. There are no minimum commitments. Unsubscribe anytime.

We did mention that you get to keep all the money, right? This is something that isn’t true of our competitors’ subscription programs.

Ongoing Improvements to the Author Subscription Program
At Inkitt, we recognize that perfection is a pursuit rather than an end. Improvements are never complete, and we want you to know we’re still improving.
Currently, we use Stripe to process author payments. The good news is that Stripe is easy to set up and convenient to use. The bad news is that Stripe isn’t yet available in every country. So, before signing up for the subscription program, check to ensure Stripe is available in your country. Stripe payments are supported in 46 countries.
For those readers and writers not covered by Stripe, please note that we are working on alternative payment solutions, and we’ll keep you posted as we implement them!
