It might seem too good to be true, but at Inkitt, our mission is to provide a place where we can discover talented writers and transform them into globally successful authors. This means providing a completely free place for writers worldwide to find a home for their stories, connect with like-minded people who share their passion for writing, and grow in their careers. So yes, Inkitt is a legit publisher, and we want to share how to get started using it!
How do I Make an Account on Inkitt?
Create an account with Inkitt. It’s easy! Go to Inkitt.com and hit the ‘sign up’ button. From there, you’ll open an account and choose a password.
I Have an Inkitt Account. Now What?
You can upload your entire manuscript from a Microsoft Word Document via Inkitt.com or write directly on the platform chapter-by-chapter. The Inkitt Writers App will allow you to submit and edit your work from any location, anytime! To download the app, click here: IOS or Android.
Stories submitted to Inkitt must be fiction and legally belong to the author submitting. Once uploaded, your story will be evaluated by our quality assurance team to ensure it meets our community guidelines before publishing it on the platform. Our algorithm will then monitor the behavior of each person who opens your story on the app. You’ll receive the most pertinent, up-to-date analytics to track your story’s success.

Will I Get a Publishing Deal with Inkitt or Galatea?
There are two publishing options where authors can monetize with Inkitt.
Select stories are offered a deal on Galatea, and here’s how that works: Books on Inkitt are analyzed by an algorithm measuring over 1200 reader behaviors. We’ll analyze those reader patterns and track engagement on your book to determine if it has bestseller potential. If so, we’ll be in contact.
Once you create your Inkitt account and upload your book, you’ve already started the process of getting selected for an Inkitt publishing deal!
